Educution

Really digging 'Educution - Screaming Swan' on Dublin's D1 Recordings today.

Totally wacky pitched-up sample over a fucky house beat - pure dancefloor madness.

They have a really nifty online store as well, long samples, photos of the vinyl, pay by paypal/credit card, the wav files are the same price as the mp3's (although the wav's can get quite large: Eamonn Doyle's Red Shift is 117MB!), and a nice plus: loads of quality releases. Check them out at the link above!

The last few gigs...

Those of you around Galway will know we had the wonderful Jake Fairly (a.k.a. Fairmont) from Border Community over on May 4th for a special. Great to see so many heads out digging the BC sound. It was very cool to see Jake was doing live vocals+fx and not using a laptop either!

Here's a little video clip from the night:

The following Friday (9th) we had a monster DJ set from Graham Goodwin (a.k.a. Sian). Lots of slow dark techno. Bit of a wierd vibe from the crowd but everyone was digging it by the end of the night!

And here's a little video to go along with it:
